The Panama Diamond Exchange could turn the country into the Dubai
The World Federation of Diamond Bourses (WFDB, for its acronym in English) presented today in Panama the first bag that will work in Latin America for trade in precious stones, which, according to that organization, a business could generate between five and 10 billion dollars a year and turn the country into the next Dubai.
The “Panama Diamond Exchange (PDE), the name by which the delegation will meet the WFDB in this country,” could generate between 5 and 10 billion dollars annually in trade and business growth around like the one experienced Dubai or Switzerland, “said President of PDE, Erez Akerman. The diamonds are abundant in the cosmic vacuum and its analysis could help unravel the mysteries about the origin of life on Earth, said NASA scientists today, adding that they use to study the Spitzer Space Telescope.

Panama will open the first diamond bourse in Latin America in 2010
Panama open the first diamond bourse in Latin America in 2010 with the purpose of distributing these gemstones in the markets of the region, informed the Minister of Commerce and Industry of Panama, Roberto Henriquez.

Apartir diamonds create three Mexican tequila
Javier Morales, a graduate student at the University of Nuevo Leon and Victor Castaoo and scientists Apotiga Luis Miguel, both of UNAM, were awarded the Ig Nobel prize in chemistry for his research on creating diamonds from tequila.
