apartir-diamondsJavier Morales, a graduate student at the University of Nuevo Leon and Victor Castaoo and scientists Apotiga Luis Miguel, both of UNAM, were awarded the Ig Nobel prize in chemistry for his research on creating diamonds from tequila.

The Mexicans were thin films of diamond based on a formulation of tequila. The technique is Plicvd (Pulsed Liquid Injection Chemical Vapor Deposition) .The Ig Nobel awards each year the few days before the real Nobel, the humor magazine Annals of Improbable Research founded and directed by Marc Abrahams, who also serves as master of ceremonies at the annual presentation of awards.

The Mexicans manufactured diamonds are tiny, and it takes an electron microscope to see them. But

Diamonds are as natural as any stone, even could be more pure and their use in the industrial environment is thus the jewels are formed in just 30 minutes but the technique has helped develop more durable materials.

Which in Spanish would be chemical vapor deposition By Pulsed Liquid Injection, with this technique you can use liquid precursors.
